Don’t Blame the TOOLMAKERS!
We don’t blame an automaker when someone uses a car in commission of a crime – no matter how heinous that crime may be. It’s utter INSANITY to blame ANY Toolmaker – who makes any Good – OR Service – that’s useful for law-abiding people, when ‘bad guys’ use those same tools, in criminal acts !
.
Below are direct links to major websites for each of the four Convicts whose injustices are featured on this site (out of a number of other persons unjustly persecuted and/or convicted because of their involvement with cryptocurrencies and/or Bitcoin)
On these linked sites, you can learn more about these Convicts’ cases – and what you can do, to help end the injustices they’re being subjected to. The Convicts are shown in chronological order, based on the date of the first serious “interaction” they experienced with any U.S. government enforcement/ investigatory agency – generally, their arrest and arraignment for whatever alleged criminal offence they’ve been prosecuted PERSECUTED for.
Roman Sterlingov
Falsely accused of being the OPERATOR of the Custodial ‘Bitcoin Fog’ coin PRIVACY service –but Roman was only a USER of that service!
Roman Storm
Co-developer of the NON-CUSTODIAL ‘Tornado Cash’ coin PRIVACY service – which under ‘FINCEN’ guidance – the most authoritative legal guidance currently available – is NOT a “Money TRANSMISSION” service – AND THEREFORE, DOES NOT REQUIRE LICENSING by its OPERATOR.
William (Bill) Lonergan Hill and Keonne Rodriguez
Co-Developers of the very popular NON-CUSTODIAL ‘Samourai’ Wallet for enhancing users’ coin privacy.
About 6 months BEFORE the ‘Feds’ obtained their indictment of Bill and Keonne, federal investigators had asked FINCEN whether Samourai wallet was Custodial – FINCEN replied “NO”! But the SDNY Do”J” ignored FINCEN, and indicted Bill and Keonne ANYWAY – & then had both of them arrested, using simultaneous, pre-dawn SWAT operations in both Pennsylvania (for Keonne) and PORTUGAL (where Bill and his wife were living).
Important, time-sensitive alert:
A hearing on Sterlingov’s Appeal is scheduled for Tuesday, May 12, 2026 @ 9:30AM at the United States Court of Appeals, DC Circuit, located at 333 Constitution Ave NW, Washington, DC – near ‘Judicial Square’ (which is the nearest Metro station – on the Red line. The second-closest Metro station is Archives-Navy Memorial, on the Yellow & Green lines.) The actual building is called “E. Barrett Prettyman U.S. Courthouse”. Note that the date – and especially the starting time – are subject to change, even up to the ‘last-minute’.
There are (now) three entrances to the Prettyman building available to the public, as the Constitution Ave entrance has been re-opened. Both of the other two entrances for the public are on the ‘sides’ of the building, not facing either Constitution Ave NW at the ‘front’, nor C St NW, on the ‘back’ side of the building. The entrance on the West is called the John Marshall entrance (which small park it faces); that on the East side of the Prettyman building (& perhaps is at its ‘William Bryant Annex’?) is called the 3rd St entrance, as it fronts onto 3rd St.
It will be very helpful to prospects for success of Roman’s appeal, for as many people as possible to attend this hearing, so please consider coming to this hearing, and in any case, alert as many other people as you can (particularly those with fairly easy access to DC), about the hearing – and the importance of having the strongest possible showing of support (in silence, & with 100% respect for Courtroom decorum!*) for Roman.
Note that Courtroom seating is somewhat limited, and is available on a “first-come, first-served” basis only (& no saving seats, or line ‘standing-in’). Doors to the building are usually opened to the public shortly after 9 AM each weekday. BUT, if more people show up than can be accommodated in the courtroom, lots of people just having shown up for the hearing, will still indicate strong public support for Roman!
- * There are two different U.S. Courts pages that provide VERY important information about dress, decorum, and various other “Do’s & Dont’s” for visitors wishing to attend a Court proceeding. To avoid any surprises – including possibly being denied admission either to the building, or the courtroom itself – please carefully review BOTH of the following sites (neither site alone provides all the relevant information; especially concerning the ‘dress code’ info of the second URL:
- https://www.cadc.uscourts.gov/courthouse-visitor-policies (more extensive on behavioral matters, and more general in scope); and
- https://www.cafc.uscourts.gov/home/oral-argument/attending-oral-arguments/ (has good info on ‘dress code’ expectations, that’s not provided on the ‘CADC’ page)
- * * * Please also register on ‘Partiful’, if you’ll definitely – or even MAY – be going to the hearing. There will be a get-together/ reception held by Roman’s attorneys Tor Ekeland and Mike Hassard, after the hearing, which you’re welcome to also attend. https://partiful.com/e/7QIhccahRqvInbD5VgzK . On Friday AM May 8, seven people have registered on Partiful that they are definitely attending the hearing, and 3 more have indicated they may attend. (No doubt some more people will be attending the hearing, who haven’t registered on that very recently set up Partiful event page.) * * *
- After finally figuring out how to add an Event in Club Orange (formerly Orange Pill App), we now have 2 more people attending the hearing, bringing the confirmed total to nine, with 3 ‘Maybes’, & 1 ‘interested’.
- Roman’s defense team posted on Partiful the following about public attendance at these hearings – which many people (including this site’s author-operator!) aren’t sufficiently aware of: Why your presence matters – A courtroom is set up a lot like a wedding: there are two sides separated by an aisle. The government consistently brings in all their interns and staff to stack their side, which often leaves defendants looking alone. By showing up and sitting on Roman’s side of the aisle, you create a massive psychological impact on the judicial panel. It shows the judges that the public is paying attention to this case and that their ruling will have a substantial impact on the entire industry.
- We really need to get a LOT more people to attend this hearing, so PLEASE spread the word, and urge as many as possible – especially those in the DC area – to attend this important Appeal hearing for Roman – who didn’t even do the thing the Feds consider illegal! THANK YOU!!!
